2015-18 Subaru WRX and STi, unfortunately, are notorious for being designed with weak and thin brackets. Because of Subaru's design flaw, engine movement or pitch from normal driving, placed too much stress on these points that they bent or tore. See image below.
Even though Subaru of America issued a service bulletin after this flaw was pointed out, many owners were left to deal with this issue because their vehicle was past their warranty period.
BLOX Racing's Pitch Stop Brace reinforces these points by helping to greatly reduce the amount of flex or pitch. The thick, 10mm braces tie in the mounting brackets to the firewall and also acts a clutch master cylinder brace. The pitch stop brace still provides additional rigidity even though Subaru of America subsequently corrected this flaw.
