The anodized coating on our pistons help protect the piston crown from heat and reflects heat to improve combustion

Anodized Coated Pistons are quieter, smoother, and live much longer.

USDM and JDM Engines

The pistons are a high compression die-casting, this results in a much stronger piston.

Compression differs on motor application between 10-12:1

D16A6 Block and Head 11.38:1

D16Y7/8 Block and Head 12.89:1

The oiling holes have been improved in the pistons to help reduce heat and friction to the wrist pin

You can run tighter piston to wall clearance with these pistons as they hold there shape much better than traditional cast pistons.

Skunk2 Alpha Series Rods feature an H-Beam design that is precision CNC machined from high-strength aircraft-grade 4340 alloy steel forgings that are then heat treated, tempered, and shot peen stress relieved. Skunk2 Alpha rods come with bronze wrist pin bushings and feature forced pin oiling. Each rod incorporates ARP2000 fasteners rated at over 220,000psi and can handle between 175hp to 200hp per cylinder on average.
